Yeah but CentOS Stream doesn't have the middleman = AlmaLinux in between making the decisions, so using AlmaLinux is not the same as using CentOS Stream exactly. Whether that is good or bad can be up to personal interpretation :)

But if folks want more certainty than Rocky Linux probably better. Though Centmin Mod itself is no where near Red Hat 1:1 for binaries (at least for Nginx and PHP) LOL

Of course, it's a personal interpretation.
I assume everyone on the forum knows it is a personal preference and advice. No obligations whatsoever.

On this point, however, I disagree.
Of course, AlmaLinux is not completely equivalent to CentOS Stream. As it is using CentOS Stream as source. For which there is absolutely no reason. The EL resources remain available through OpenELA. And that's equally another discussion.

However. There is no reason at all for AlamaLinux to act as a middle man. And they don't have to make any EL decision at all. Let them stay comfortable on shared hosting servers and leave enterprise alone :)

If they know it so well then start 'your' own distro. And not git syncing source and everything else time over time.

AlmaLinux wants to sit way too much in the Red Hat chair, and is even pushing it's patches on Red Hat git channels.
