Interesting CentOS 6.6 still has POODLE SSLv3 vulnerability exploitable and requires openssl system update on fresh CentOS 6.6 installs !

Curious question, why they release version 6.6 after version 7?

yeah probably maintenance updates and fact that CentOS 7 has too drastic changes for most folks so CentOS 6.6 offers updated package versions for folks wanting to remain on CentOS 6.x and CentOS 6.6 offers 32bit support :)
