    Troubleshooting Initial Install

To troubleshoot initial installation, you need to check the initial install log at /root/centminlogs and instructions under Sharing logs and errors heading for using Pastebin.com or Gists to share a sanitised version of the contents of the initial install log. You can see full details at How to troubleshoot Centmin Mod initial install issues

Example list /root/centminlogs files in date ascending order and grep for install.log
    Code (Text):
    ls -lahrt /root/centminlogs | grep install.log

example output returns install log at /root/centminlogs/centminmod_1.2.3-eva2000.09.001_111016-112321_install.log
    Code (Text):
    ls -lahrt /root/centminlogs | grep install.log
    -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 2.2M Oct 11 01:40 centminmod_1.2.3-eva2000.09.001_111016-112321_install.log

in SSH use cat to ouput contents of /root/centminlogs/centminmod_1.2.3-eva2000.09.001_111016-112321_install.log. Clear your SSH client window/buffer so only output is the contents of the file
    Code (Text):
    cat /root/centminlogs/centminmod_1.2.3-eva2000.09.001_111016-112321_install.log

Then copy and paste into Pastebin.com or Gists entry. If your SSH window scroll buffer isn't that large to get the whole contents of the install log, you can download file manually and copy and paste contents. But makes sure it's sanitised version of the contents of the initial install log as outlined at How to troubleshoot Centmin Mod initial install issues

what command did you use to install 123.09beta01 you seem to be missing the first part of the curl installer setup in the logs or your SSH window scroll buffer too small to view all the contents of install log, in which can need to download the install log and copy and paste contents to pastebin.

    install command
    Code (Text):
    yum -y update; curl -O https://centminmod.com/betainstaller.sh && chmod 0700 betainstaller.sh && bash betainstaller.sh

Best bet for now is to use 64bit OS.

This was the third attempt at trying to get this to install properly. In between each attempt I reinstalled the server.

This third try I thought I would try 'yum -y update' first, reboot and then the rest of the install command 'curl -O https://centminmod.com/betainstaller.sh && chmod 0700 betainstaller.sh && bash betainstaller.sh' to see if that helped.

    So use CentOS 6 64-bit or 7 64-bit?

Guide is a bit old and the problem here is 32bit CentOS 6.x with 123.09beta01 could be something with my 123.09beta01 code as it more tuned for 64bit systems these days.

You're probably right on that. I'm happy I bit the bullet and migrated to Centos 7 actually. It has been a bit of a pain though.

Worked fine on 64-bit. Maybe mention to not use 32-bit in the install guide.

centos 6 64bit right ? seems tripped on a dependency being missing or the version of
    libxslt being too old hmmm

How long between Vultr CentOS server install and running centminmod 123.09beta01 installer ? as in between a few minutes Vultr as a cloud-init script which does a yum update run so need to wait 5-10 mins after server install to start installing stuff. A problem can be if you install straight away, then Vultr cloud-init script for yum update might lock yum process, so centmin mod install routine and it's yum package installs might not complete as Vultr's yum script is locking and hogging the yum process.

yeah for some reason your install run didn't properly install libxslt-devel. I am testing Vultr 512MB VPS with CentOS 6.9 64bit right this moment and it's compiling PHP fine. So most of been once off issue for you. Try reloading CentOS 6.9 64bit OS and after you can log in, wait 5-10 mins before running 123.09beta01 installer to allow Vultr cloud-init yum update to complete it's run.

I suggest upgrading to at least 1GB server and to use Centos 7.2. 512MB may be described as being a minimum to run Centos 6/7, however, the demands of most server environments require at least 1GB. 1GB VPS have become the baseline.
