    So I purchased a new Server for VM's w/ Xen "Paravirtualization" technology and ran the benchmark.sh utility - I'm hoping that @eva2000 or others can share your thoughts on them? This was ran on 1 VM with 20GB space - 2GB ram test VPS

    None of the above. I purchased the server from the datacenter. Only reason I put it here is I used the benchmark.sh code above so I thought this was a good spot lol! But feel free to move it if you like..

    nice it's dual Xeon E5-2650v3 server - performance is all relative so best compared with other similar setups

    noticed Axel benchmarks are broken due to Axel itself so I should disable those tests. MTR tests also show no results for some reason

    disk random disk I/O speed seems slow though

    What I ordered was a Deca-Core Intel E5-2650 CPU's running at 2.3 Ghz. Not a dual core. hmmm...

    Also:
    --- . (tmpfs tmpfs) ioping statistics ---
    10 requests completed in 9003.0 ms, 38314 iops, 149.7 mb/s
    min/avg/max/mdev = 0.0/0.0/0.0/0.0 ms

    I'm not much of a hardware kinda guy so I'm guessing 149.7 mb/s is a slower then average? I had them install the Samsung 850 Pros configured in Raid 10.

    I just want to make sure I'm getting what I paid for and so far it doesn't look that way since I have no way of looking at the physical hardware itself.

    his ioping tmpfs results = ram disk benchmark not disk benchmark like yours tmpfs is ramdisk not disk test

    but bear in mind Xen, KVM, OpenVZ and VMware virtualization can have between 20-40% overhead compared to bare metal non-virtualized servers.
