I was reading the Xenforo largest forum listing at The Large XenForo Forums List and decided to crawl the listed forums to see how many are running Centmin Mod LEMP stack. Some are behind Cloudflare but I do know they did or are using Centmin Mod.

It worked out that ~10% of the largest Xenforo forum's listed are running Centmin Mod LEMP stack of some form :D Would be interesting to see how many vBulletin and Invision Board forums are also powered by Centmin Mod :)

When I left working for vBulletin and specifically optimising vBulletin related forum servers, one of my goals for my Centmin Mod LEMP stack was to reach the point that my LEMP stack was performant enough that it would end up powering many of the largest forums on the internet. It seems Centmin Mod is heading in that direction quite nicely :D

Centmin Mod performs and scales nicely
Definitely have to thank fellow Centmin Mod users for promoting Centmin Mod usage for Xenforo and other forum software like vBulletin, Invision Board etc

    @Matt @rdan @BamaStangGuy @BoostN @wmtech @pamamolf @Jimmy @Revenge are some folks I can think of. Sorry if I forgot to shout out to other folks :)

You've done a great job with centmin mod. Imagine how busy you'd be if that 10% was 90%! :)

yeah I guess not all large forums are on that forum list :)

cheers, one day ... one day ! The quite times/slower times right now are probably the most important in laying a solid foundation for Centmin Mod LEMP's features and code for when the busy times are upon us :D

Great numbers, @eva2000! I would not even think about hosting with anything other than Centminmod. I was talking with some guys that run a local web development shop and told them about CMM and they were very interested and said they would check it out, so the word is starting to spread. Your impact on the forum administration community over the last 15+ years is truly immeasurable. I used a different username on the vB.com forums and you probably don't remember it, but you helped me tune my server countless times in the Server Optimization board there back in the day (I've been running my forum since 2001). Thanks to what I was able to achieve with a good infrastructure back then, my site is still going strong today.

I run XenForo now, of course, and my site is on the "big board" list but the numbers there are out of date (it's listed there with 10.14m posts but we are at 12.28m now). :)

I am also behind Cloudflare but the "x-powered-by" headers are still there so hopefully it was counted in your tally. :D

Yeah your forums is one I remember to account for :)

Cheers, yes time flies I have been dealing with forum server optimisation/tuning since 2001 so coming on 18 yrs this December 2019 :) It's amazing how server hardware and software has improved so much since back then. You can really do alot with just a single Intel Xeon E3-1270v6 4C/8T cpu based server these days if you software/web stack is optimally tuned (Centmin Mod LEMP stack :) ) :D And that is without Cloudflare in front which further enhances performance and scalability :)

Reminds me of your thread at MariaDB - MariaDB 10.1 Slower After Upgrading From 5.5 when you accidentally switched from Centmin Mod auto optimised /etc/my.cnf MySQL settings :D

    Cheers very much appreciated :D

Has anyone noticed doing a Whois Domain, that TAZ is now registered under Threadloom, LLC and not Howards own LLC. So is TAZ now owned by Threadloom? Somebody else showed me that TAZ is now listed as Register Org: Threadloom, LLC

Seems odd that considering TAZ was always listed in Howards own AdminZone, LLC used for last 10 or more years. And it seems to have changed after this server move.

    http://whois.domaintools.com/theadminzone.com

So I can only think that either Howard now owns Threadloom, LLC and he changed TAZ forum to be listed under that now. Or they bought TAZ and put it under their own LLC Company.

I know the owner of that forum but Centmin Mod LEMP stack setup wasn't me, so other smart sysadmin making the good web stack decisions apparently :)
