There's no chance at all Centminmod installs on a 1GB VPS, right?

Turns out I do have it (it isn't 2GB like I thought, and it's over double the price to upgrade).

    Yeah I wouldn't recommend less than 4GB for EL8/EL9

Hetzner is probably best bang for the buck for memory right now Hetzner Cloud

    shared AMD cloud VPS

    or dedicated CPU cloud VPS

Yea I'm looking at moving it to Hetzner CPX11 but wanted to see if there's a chance I could still use Linode.

If I do the same with the new rules, 2GB memory should be fine, right?

I think the reason why I started using Centminmod is because it worked great on Linode's cheapest plan back in the day and websites were super fast.

This is just for a really small hobby forum with no addons.

Potentially can be slow and depending on your site and app usage, could run out of memory on EL8/EL9 as their starting memory requirements for operating system itself have risen. Only way to know for your usage, is to try and see.

Centmin Mod 131.00stable and 140.00beta01 have been updated with fix to addons/acmetool.sh used for Letsencrypt SSL certificates. Fix is for folks using Cloudflare DNS API for domain validation for Letsencrypt SSL certificates so run cmupdate command for the fix. Full details at https://community.centminmod.com/threads/25963/

update MOTD ssh login for non-sudo elevate users in 140.00beta01
    • 140.00beta01 only change (won't be added to 131.00stable) where dmotd.sh script that is triggered on SSH login is updated to support SSH logins via a sudo user that isn't in sudo elevated state. Centmin Mod code update notifications will have to be disabled as regular linux users or non-sudo elevated state users will not have adequate permissions to determin if Centmin Mod updates are available. See https://community.centminmod.com/threads/mosh-on-centminmod.26093/#post-101021 for example changes.
    • Centmin Mod was created for full root user usage in mind so this is a workaround. As such if you SSH log in as non-root user, the SSH login generated logs will now save to /home/YOURUSERNAME/centminlogs instead of /root/centminlogs

Is it possible to upgrade from 130.00beta01 to 140.00beta01?

    Thanks,
