Centmin Mod 123.09beta01 has been updated with critical bug fix due to devtoolset-4 being EOL deprecated and it's yum packages are no longer available. The routines that use to rely on devtoolset-4 have now been updated to use devtoolset-6 as outlined at Beta Branch - devtoolset-4 is now EOL unavailable.
    • If you recently had issues installing Centmin Mod 123.09beta01 on CentOS 6.x 64bit systems, then it is most likely due to this bug as devtoolset-4 yum packages were no longer available to properly install custom wget version and native CentOS 6.x GCC 4.4.7 version was too low for required GCC 4.8+ version.
    • For existing Centmin Mod 123.09beta01 users with working installs, updating is as easy as running within SSH the command = cmupdate. Or you can do the old upgrade method outlined here for centmin.sh menu option 23 submenu option 2 update method.
    • For just newly installed Centmin Mod 123.09beta01 on CentOS 6.x 64bit systems, the only remedy is to reinstall CentOS 6.x 64bit OS and do a fresh Centmin Mod 123.09beta01 install. Ideally, if you meet the minimum disk and memory requirements, you should be using CentOS 7.x 64bit for better performance and stability.
    • This update bug fix only applies to Centmin Mod 123.09beta01, 123.08stable is not affected.

devtoolset has a product support lifecycle according to Red Hat Software Collections Product Life Cycle - Red Hat Customer Portal

    Release and retirement dates
FYI, Centmin Mod 123.09beta01 makes use of devtoolset-4, devtoolset-6 and devtoolset-7. I guess CentOS versions had a bit longer life as devtoolset-4 seems to only recently stopped working and it had a retirement date of November 2017 ~ 9+ months ago.
