I'm using pagespeed mod on a wordpress blog with brolti compression enabled, but most js and css files are being compressed with gzip instead of brotli ...
    Only the domain is brotli

    i dont use cloudflare

    My custom config file

That's normal as ngx_pagespeed only supports gzip compression IIRC. So ngx_pagespeed compresses the files and that get's served as gzip compressed taking priority over brotli.

    Many thanks for the explanation!
So, do you think it necessary to keep brotli compression active?

Not really if you enable and actively using ngx_pagespeed
