Again nice Brotli article at https://blogs.akamai.com/2016/02/understanding-brotlis-potential.html
Still the same. Brotli was compiled with Nginx on mine via dynamic module, and it only works on static files.
I tried again this on my own site, but still Brotli only works on static files, not on my forum pages.
does your sites pre-gzip pages as that could be it.. just tried with wordpress and keycdn cache enabler gets in the way with pre-gzipped html static caching php text/html files no longer br encoded ? · Issue #22 · google/ngx_brotli · GitHub might want to post your issue separately at Issues · google/ngx_brotli · GitHub
I use bd cache too on this forum without problem with php pages being br encoded (brotli compressed) over https on supported web browsers. I confirmed my issue was wordpress plugin keycdn cache enabler's pre-compress (via gzip) page setting php text/html files no longer br encoded ? · Issue #22 · google/ngx_brotli · GitHub
I honestly can't remember whether I had specified my site to use this whole Brotli thing. UPDATE: It seems like I had. How do I test whether this thing is working again?
yum check your site's HTTP headers via curl or browser dev tool network tab with content-encoding field enabled brotli = br gzip = gzip or online too Brotli Test | Brotli compression check
Yeah, thanks. I actually figured it out 2 or 3 minutes after I edited the 'update' part into my reply, but I was kinda occupied with game so I was like, "meh, I'll update my reply later", and a few hours passed, lmao UPDATE: I just scrolled a few pages back and found out the old me being confused about this whole Brotli thingy: WebPerf - Brotli compression algorithm coming to Chrome browser soon ! | Page 2 | Centmin Mod Community
webpagetest.org's compression rating may switch to using brotli instead of gzip for baseline comparison numbers for HTTPS web sites https://twitter.com/patmeenan/status/773630615052836864
