BoringSSL vs OpenSSL

    There seems to be pros and cons of both libraries.


    I'm interested in knowing from people who have evaluated one vs the other what influenced your decision.

    Hey there, been a while :D

    Yeah old thread discussed some of the factors etc SSL - BoringSSL vs OpenSSL.

    These days in the context of Nginx usage, it comes down to fact BoringSSL doesn't support OCSP stapling natively so unless you can patch and add back OCSP stapling support to BoringSSL, the choice really is only OpenSSL.
