FYI, I've pured quite alot of my experience and tuning from years of optimising servers into Centmin Mod

 

Yes more than US$100. Unfortunately, with server optimisation work for me it's already constantly booked and paid up weeks and even months in advanced already with existing clients on a waiting list. So time is money.

But Centmin Mod's base configuration and setup for Nginx, PHP-FPM and MariaDB are optimised better than any other setup alternative out of the box already, so you're already a few steps ahead of the game

 

No worries, I just cater to different scale and size of clients for optimisation work. FYI, optimisation work covers a full 5 days of work, monitoring, analysis and tuning and re-tuning. And I only take on 1 or 2 clients per week max.

Indeed, actually some of my paid clients also moved to using Centmin Mod on their multi server forum setups too. Some even before I even told them about Centmin Mod

 

Yup Haproxy is on my to do list for installation at least https://community.centminmod.com/threads/centmin-mod-to-do-list.7/. Configuration is left up to the end user to do though

@pamamolf well Vivek's mysql backup script at http://bash.cyberciti.biz/backup/backup-mysql-database-server-2/ is a good start for mysql backups.

 

FYI, proper server optimisation can only be done after days of server monitoring and analysis of stats and usage for each particular site/forum. No one size/config fits all
