Can i buy the script from you?
FYI, my custom backup scripts start at mid 3 figure $$$ dollar amounts. So if you're still interested could start a private conversation with me https://community.centminmod.com/conversations/add?to=eva2000.
Otherwise, might wait to see what other members here are using
So your paid server optimization cost $$$$?
Hence why it's called paid Been doing paid server optimisation for forums since 2002/2003 for 100s and 1000s of forums (mainly vBulletin) - some are the largest forums online 60+ million posts and 20,000 to 60,000 current users online with millions of registered members
FYI, I've pured quite alot of my experience and tuning from years of optimising servers into Centmin Mod
$$$$ is 44,000 to 440,000 Philippine Pesos already that I can't afford
The 3 $$$ means more than 100$ ?
He stated mid, so maybe $500
Yes more than US$100. Unfortunately, with server optimisation work for me it's already constantly booked and paid up weeks and even months in advanced already with existing clients on a waiting list. So time is money.
But Centmin Mod's base configuration and setup for Nginx, PHP-FPM and MariaDB are optimised better than any other setup alternative out of the box already, so you're already a few steps ahead of the game
Ok thanks anyway George.
You deserve any $ for your great job, don't take me wrong i just can't afford it and i hope another user post anything that help.
If not i will do it manually
That's why we LOVE you and your script being FREE
No worries, I just cater to different scale and size of clients for optimisation work. FYI, optimisation work covers a full 5 days of work, monitoring, analysis and tuning and re-tuning. And I only take on 1 or 2 clients per week max.
Indeed, actually some of my paid clients also moved to using Centmin Mod on their multi server forum setups too. Some even before I even told them about Centmin Mod
I hope someday I learn how to setup Haproxy if my site grows.
One day i will buy you alot of beers so you will get drunk and post as a sample a php-fpm config for much bigger servers with dual xeon and 24 or 32 gb ram so i can get an idea on how are the values are on such servers lol
Yup Haproxy is on my to do list for installation at least https://community.centminmod.com/threads/centmin-mod-to-do-list.7/. Configuration is left up to the end user to do though
very hard to do, never in my life have I drunk alcohol or smoked cigs. I am a water and milk guy
@pamamolf well Vivek's mysql backup script at http://bash.cyberciti.biz/backup/backup-mysql-database-server-2/ is a good start for mysql backups.
Ahahaha and me copying it also
@RoldanLT let me know when you need help for HAproxy
Not for now, as my server is very capable to handle my site traffic.
I don't want to copy it as each config is unique in general on each server but just to get an idea.....
FYI, proper server optimisation can only be done after days of server monitoring and analysis of stats and usage for each particular site/forum. No one size/config fits all
If you don't mind, I'll split the posts after post #2 in this thread to a separate thread so folks can contribute their backup strategies etc ?
Yes ok split it
