Thanks.... I debated a more detailed actual photo of a nebula or such, but file size and transfer speed would be an issue without some serious work.
And yep,I still keep playing around. Recently got some really nice astro equipment and plan on learning to use it, so figured why not also utilize the domain and the XF site to document it with. Was debating on upgrading XF and Showcase, but decided to buy a new color camera in addition to the monochrome with filter wheel I just got in. If the site gets some traction I'll upgrade it then.

 

I decided to go ahead and bite the bullet and (even though the site isn't active currently) upgraded XF (and the 1st party addons) and Showcase to the latest versions... that way I could kick up to a newer version of PHP also.

 

Just something I took recently with a new camera. Still need some spacers for better focusing.

 

Have added several of Bob's add-ons along with ShowCase to the site.

and that's one of the hazards of using prefixes that really should be different color/style from others in an area. If all of them were the same, they would not be as easy to pick out in a page of threads if you were hunting for a specific telescope manufacturer as an example.


The entire purpose of the prefixes is to make it easier to quickly find the topical item you want.



The downfall is that they also show on the landing page and may be distracting to some.. but some may consider that a benefit instead of a negative (I am amongst that group). I personally believe that easily identifiable prefixes are preferable over a "generic" same color look in which only the text differs.
I make HEAVY use of prefixes on the site to reduce the number of necessary nodes to target the end user.
