    I want to migrate from Virtualmin to Centmin Mod.

    Actually, I have an OVH VPS with like 10 website in it.
    Some of the sites are personal and some are of clients.

    Some have xenforo, others prestashop 1.6.x/thirtybees1.0.x and others wordpress.

    I'm thinking to move to linode (with centminmod referral ;)).

    What do you think about the "single server" and multiple "mini-servers".

    I can see come PRO and CONS but I can't decide.

    Example: With multiple server if I don't automate maintenance can be hell... but in case of problem with a website the issue will be limited to it.

    Right now I'm more on multiple mini vps, and you?

    Oh you should never host your own sites on same server as your clients ! That's asking for trouble :)

    So yes separate them on and don't use a single server !

    I prefer a small VPS for each project.

    Diversification is the main reason for that.

    You have Italian traffic, it makes no sense to take servers in Frankfurt!

    About the Italian bandwidth, I prefer some extra ms and use Linode (and saving $$).
    I have different websites with different traffic source, not only Italians one.

    I choose Frankfurt because I think is the "nearest" Linode data center to Italy and is "central" in Europe... and then there are CDNs to locate static files near visitors. ;)

    But to stay on topic. do you prefer a single server or not? why?

    yes - multiple mini vps

    as mentioned , don't store clients sites with your own. and make backups. for automatisation you can learn Ansible a little. (y) (for testing purposes you can choose aruba one euro vps offer)
