What's your opinion on dedicated server hosts that silently increase prices?

    Not sure if this is a common tactic but I've seen one dedicated server host increase their prices silently overnight.

    What's your opinion about this?

    Well technically they'd be within their rights of their terms of service. If you rent monthly, then next month they'd have right to raise prices if it's listed in their TOS. Only way to guarantee prices is to prepay i.e. payd for 3, 6, 12 months in advance.
