I run some sports message boards and I really want to offload email delivery of the various notifications that get sent out to a service like SES. I set everything up, works great and now I am applying to get out of the sandbox.

They didn't like my first response. I presume it was a canned "need more info" reply. However, I told them what we do. No newsletters. No unsolicited email sent out. Just user controlled registration, password recovery, and topic subscription emails. They need more info.

Does anyone have any tips to get past this road block? If you use SES what worked for you to get out of the sandbox?

With clients that hire me to setup AWS SES, when I apply for sandbox removal, you need to go through a detail list of how your web app/site will handle emails and email bounce, complaints and outline all your measures in place to ensure proper email sending as per generally acceptable industry guidelines so reverse PTR, SPF, DKIM, DMARC etc. And you probably want to ensure your current domain email sending reputation is ok first too before applying for sandbox removal.
