systemd php-fpm service file has support for extended php-fpm stats which php-fpm passes onto systemd system that you can see outlined at https://community.centminmod.com/th...hp-fpm-systemd-service-file.16511/#post-70380 :)

    example
    Code (Text):
    fpmstats
    Processes active: 0, idle: 0, Requests: 187, slow: 0, Traffic: 0req/sec
    pool: www
    process manager: ondemand
    start time: 24/Mar/2019:16:57:39 +0000
    start since: 13044
    accepted conn: 189
    listen queue: 0
    max listen queue: 1
    listen queue len: 511
    idle processes: 0
    active processes: 1
    total processes: 1
    max active processes: 4
    max children reached: 0
    slow requests: 0

From user perspective no differences just they do same job but go about in a different way. Though you can'd do php-fpm stats pass through on init.d as you can with systemd.

I don't know why this change cause an issue on my existing installation of Phpmyadmin using a socket and if that can cause any issues to other scripts that use sockets......

It doesn't make sense from that change to have that kind of issues but i am not an expert so.... :)

yeah that should be fixed switching phpmyadmin.sh back to using TCP listener and not unit sockets and only is a php-fpm issue not other software that uses unix sockets
