Vultr just announced a similar promo to what DigitalOcean did way back. They announced $1,000 account credit to the 100,000th Vultr cloud instance launched !

Sign up for Vultr and get free $5 credit too

Yes I intend to run some Vultr location tests for centminmodbench.sh comparison tests like I did here. Since I am developing my own custom geodns based SPDY SSL CDN using Centmin Mod web stack as the core. So will test a few Vultr locations to see how they fair - including
    • Los Angeles
    • Dallas
    • New Jersey
    • London
    • Tokyo
    • Australia

DigitalOcean did the same for their 1,000,000 droplet.

launching 6 way Vultr location test for centminmodbench.sh right now :D

Los Angeles seems to always been consistently faster but New Jersey seems to have won for virgin centminmodbench.sh run without Centmin Mod installed :)

I just wish digital ocean/vultr would also allow longer term commitments too much like amazon :p

I use Vultr and they have been great! Had a Tokyo issue today ( upstream provider ) and they answered my support question within minutes. I suggested to them to create a network outage / troubled / good / type map for general public to view if there are any network issues within the areas they offer.
